What Can I Expect at My SculpSure® Appointment?

What Can I Expect at My SculpSure® Appointment?

You can do a lot to perfect your shape using diet and exercise — but when it comes to stubborn pockets of body fat that remain in areas like your abdomen and flanks no matter what you do, you might need to turn to science.

At Lasercare Skin Clinic, our providers offer noninvasive SculpSure® treatments to new and existing patients from our location in Little Rock, Arkansas. Body contouring appointments typically take less than 30 minutes, and you can head home or back to work immediately after your treatment session.

Curious about what to expect with SculpSure treatment? Here’s a sneak peak at what you can expect when you come in for a SculpSure body contouring session and the results you can achieve through this nonsurgical procedure.

How does SculpSure work?

Your provider at Lasercare Skin Clinic uses the SculpSure treatment session to target your treatment areas with a specialized laser that effectively liquefies fat cells. Studies show that SculpSure can destroy up to 25% of the fat cells in a given treatment area.

SculpSure was developed to deal with stubborn pockets of body fat often found in your flanks and abdomen. Instead of surgically removing fat from these areas, SculpSure enables your body to flush away destroyed fat cells naturally over time.

It’s important to understand that SculpSure isn’t a weight loss procedure. Rather, SculpSure helps you contour your silhouette after you’ve already reached a healthy body weight.

SculpSure is a permanent fat-loss treatment, as destroyed fat cells won’t regenerate. But you’ll need to prevent future weight gain with good dietary and exercise habits, even after SculpSure treatment gives you your ideal shape.

What to expect during and after your SculpSure treatment

SculpSure treatment sessions only take about 25 minutes per treatment area. When you come in for your appointment, we attach four treatment applicators to the skin of your desired treatment area.

You recline in comfort while laser light heats the fat cells in the deeper layers of your skin. Heat causes fat cells to become irritated and then liquify. You don’t feel any pain during your procedure, although you may notice a warm feeling deep within your skin.

The SculpSure system uses intermittent application of cool air to keep you comfortable during your entire treatment session.

You’ll see results over the weeks and months after your treatment session as your body naturally flushes away the destroyed fat cells. Most people see improvement after six weeks, with full effects typically appearing 12 weeks after treatment.

You may find that you need multiple treatments to achieve your ideal shape. Individual results with SculpSure may vary.
